Two Rose Cottages offers a warm welcome, serious comfort and a terrific breakfast in Midhurst, the heart of the gorgeous South Downs National Park.
With two lovely en-suite double bedrooms, a cosy reception room for the exclusive use of guests (complete with private front door and wood-burning stove), it’s your own little South Downs pied à terre.
The skillfully converted traditional Victorian terrace cottage was built in 1890 on the edge of Midhurst’s historic town centre, right beside South Pond. Seriously comfortable, the accommodation provides everything you need to relax completely, whether you are travelling for business or pleasure.
The Cobden Room reflects the traditional Victorian character of the cottage. It has vintage touches, but is totally up-to date in all its carefully planned details.
At the rear of the house, the room overlooks the garden, a huge old oak tree and South Pond. It has a lovely en-suite bathroom with shower, tea-lights and hand-stenciled blackberries trailing across the walls.
The Wells Room is named for H.G. Wells, Midhurst’s most famous son. It has a distinctly contemporary feel, with brushed steel and stripped beech, although it completely respects the simple traditional character of the cottage.
The room is at the front of the house, where it receives the morning sun, and has an en-suite shower-room.
