Cobden Room Midhurst b and b accommodationThe Cobden Room reflects the traditional Victorian character of the cottage, but is nevertheless totally up-to date in all its carefully planned details.  It has a full bathroom with shower, and is at the rear of the house, facing South Pond and overlooking an enormous oak tree that has been here much longer than the house.  The night sounds of the birds-life on the pond are very soothing.

Wells Room Midhurst b and b accommodationThe Wells Room has a distinctly modern feel, while fully respecting the simple character of the cottage. It is at the front of the house, where it receives the morning sun.   The road outside has only light traffic, and opposite is an extensive woodland, where the owls and foxes call at night.

Wells Room Midhurst b and b accommodationThe room is named after the father of science fiction, H.G. Wells, who spent 3-4 years in Midhurst at the very beginning of his career.  His mother’s family came from Midhurst, and for many years she was housekeeper at Uppark House, about eight miles away.  You will find books by H.G. Wells in our little library, or maybe even on your bedside table!

The Wells Room is priced as follows, per room night:

  • Summer:  £90.00 (two nights minimum at weekends)
  • Winter: £85.00
  • Glorious Goodwood, Goodwood Revival and Goodwood Festival of Speed: £150.00 (three nights minimum)
