At Two RoSweet Peas Midhurst b and b accommodationse Cottages you will find great attention to detail and responsiveness to any requests you may make.  With its light and airy interior decor, warm welcome and very pleasant atmosphere, you are sure to feel quite at home.

The cottage has a traditional “two-up, two down” design, so it is compact, but very well planned and convenient. With exclusive use of the front door and private reception room, it is almost like your own little cottage – and there is a small business centre.

If you do not find what you need, please let us know your suggestions, special needs or concerns, and we will do our very best to address them.

Two Rose Cottages bed and breakfast MidhurstTwo Rose Cottages Bed and Breakfast has five steps to the guests’ front door, and quite a steep staircase (eleven steps) to the bedrooms.  A handle specially fixed to the wall on the front of the house, and the window sill, provide support to those using the front steps, and there are two handrails on the carpeted staircase to the two bedrooms.  The bedrooms are also fully carpeted, with no rugs.

The Wells Room has a low profile step-in shower, while the Cobden Room has a shower integrated with the bath.  Both showers and the bath have twist taps, while the basins have lever taps.  Non-slip mats are available for both bath and shower.

We have outlined all the wall-plate light switches in black, so they are easily visible.  On the other hand, all of our door-handles are white or brass.

Large-print menus and information sheets area available on request.  Even though we do not encourage pets in general, we welcome service dogs.  All of our bedding is hypo-allergenic, and we respond to special dietary requests.  There is a “pillow-menu” in each room, offering a range of combinations to fill most comfort needs.

Business Travelers

B and B business centre center MidhurstOur facilities are enjoyed by all guests, but some are particularly valued by business travelers.  These include: the privacy and seclusion, making it a perfect place to unwind; a small business centre; free 24-hour unlimited wifi; fresh milk, with teapot and coffee-press, in the bedrooms; an iron and ironing board in each bedroom; the possibility of flexible arrival and departure times; and discounts for three to five night mid-week stays in winter.  For business travellers only, we place extra snacks in the bedroom, and can sometimes offer an evening meal (prices vary), in case you have to work in the evenings.

Two RMidhurst South Downs b and b accommodation Puppyose Cottages is not an ideal house for dogs – the rooms are reasonably sized, but there is little room for large swinging tails, and the stairs are steep.  However, well-behaved small and medium-sized dogs are welcome, provided they do not sleep on the beds.  There are plenty of great walks for dogs all around Midhurst, and  space for quick exercise nearby around South Pond, and in the water-meadows beside the River Rother.

We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of Two Rose Cottages as much as we possibly can, to supporting local producers and generally living as much in harmony with the planet as possible.

The ingredients for our breakfasts and teas are organic and locally produced, with fair-trade tea and coffee, as much as we can manage it. Luckily there are loads of wonderful suppliers around Midhurst, so its not too difficult.

We conserve water as much as we can, and our guests can optionally choose to join us in this ecological effort (more details are in your room).

We actively seek out and support producers who use minimum packaging, and we recycle diligently.

There is free parking in Selham Road, about 30 metres from your Two Rose front door.

Reception Room

Midhurst b and b accommodationThe reception room is for the exclusive use of guests.  Here you will find not only breakfast, but also plenty of books and magazines, as well as local maps and information.  You can plan your day’s excursions or relax with a cup of tea after a day of glorious walks, historic exploration, looking round the shops or visiting one of the hundreds of local events, attractions and places of interest.  A Freeview TV is concealed in one of the cupboards (and there is also a TV in each bedroom).

Our little library has three sections:  local information and guides; the permanent collection; and the “take one, leave one” collection.  You are welcome to borrow guides and read any book, but please return them to the right shelf when you leave.  The exception is the “take one, leave one” collection.  You are welcome to take a book from this collection with you, provided you leave one in its place for other guests to enjoy.

On cooler days and rainy days the wood-burning stove is lit, so you can have a cosy time reading or watching TV in comfort.

The business centre is concealed in one of the cupboards, for those who prefer a desk to work at.  It includes complementary stationary and office supplies, and a small printer.

Walkers and Cyclists

We welcome those who enjoy a walk or bike-ride when on holiday.  The area around Midhurst is full of the most glorious walks and cycle routes, mainly in the easy to moderate range of difficulty.

We are happy to clean and dry your boots and hang your clothing to dry, but regret that there is no overnight bike storage.

We have maps to help you plan your day’s activity or your onward journey, and we can provide packed lunches on request. Prices vary.

Wireless Internet

Unlimited, 24-hour and free high-speed wireless internet is available in your bedroom and the reception room.
